I found this rather large dead beetle outside my house and was taken by the bright green sheen and intricacy of its “under” side. (Can you tell I’m not an entomologist? 😉

What really caught my interest–and it took me a while to realize why it looked familiar–is the striking similarity to the Green Goblin from the 2002 Spider-Man film:

And I thought the X-Men were the only ones who were uncanny.
