As the pandemic refuses to subside, relentless optimists, aka “pre-pandemic optimists” (PPOs) or “glass half-fullers”, have begun to consider revisions and/or replacements for their past linguistic go-to’s:

“That’s just the shot in the arm I needed!”

“His optimism is contagious!”

“Her enthusiasm is infectious!”

“Give it your best shot!”

“I like to think I’m immune to pessimism!”

“You know, we really should start a Booster Club!”
